Testimonials
Helping Kids with Cancer and their Families
Most recently, a Hope for Youth Foundation grant has enabled Friends of Karen to engage a highly skilled, creative, compassionate child life specialist to work one-on-one with young siblings of a child with cancer or other life threatening illness. These children, so traumatized by their brother’s or sister’s illness, gain strength and coping skills to help them at this tremendously difficult time.

For the Love of Nature
Your generous donation to Teatown Lake Reservation's No Child Left Inside (NCLI) program has made it possible for thousands of students from lower income communities to take field trips to Teatown where they spend time outdoors, immersed in nature, to learn about science and ecology.

The Performance of a Lifetime
The HFYF made it possible to bring 58 underprivileged children with their guardians from Peekskill, NY to the Lincoln Center in New York City to see an extraordinary, uplifting concert. featuring children performing on a stage along with New York City’s top professional musicians. It was a life-changing experience for these children, many of whom have now signed up to take part in a free after school music program in Peekskill.
