Scholarships for HOPE

The HOPE for Youth Foundation presented five scholarships in 2021. The deadlines, criteria and amounts varied among the offers.

The Foundation added scholarships to its charitable mission in 1998 for graduating seniors who demonstrated outstanding service to school and community.

Currently five scholarships are being offered to graduating seniors each year:

HOPE for Youth Foundation Scholarship at Lakeland High School

Presented by: HOPE for Youth Foundation
Must be graduating senior from Lakeland High School with demonstrated service to school and community.

HOPE for Youth Foundation Scholarship at Walter Panas High School

Presented by: HOPE for Youth Foundation
Must be graduating senior from Walter Panas High School with demonstrated service to school and community.

HOPE for Youth Foundation/BILL SHERRY Memorial Scholarship at Lakeland High School or Walter Panas High School

Presented by: HOPE for Youth Foundation/Gail Sherry
Graduating senior from Lakeland or Walter Panas High School who has overcome obstacles.

THE LAMARR BARNES Scholarship for Vocational Studies at Peekskill High School

Presented by: Jenet and Nicholas Ferris, Ferris Carpentry, LLC
Graduating senior from Peekskill High School who attended Putnam Northern Westchester in course studies in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding or HVAC.

THOMAS J. WITT Memorial Scholarship at Putnam Valley High School

Presented by: HOPE for Youth Foundation/Jim and Nancy Witt
Must be graduating senior from Putnam Valley High School with demonstrated service to school and community. In memory of Thomas J. Witt, son of HOPE for Youth Foundation Founders Jim and Nancy Witt.
